Chawton is one of the most peaceful places I’ve been in my life, and the few days I spent here visiting some dear friends with Jenna, my brother will be days I always cherish. Its manor house, Chawton House, was owned by Jane Austen’s brother, which led to Jane residing in Chawton during the period she wrote many of the greatest works in English literature.

I also fit in one of my favorite runs of my entire life: a jog around the warm English countryside at the peak of summer as the sun set over bucolic fields, a Guinness waiting for me in the pub when I finished.
