If there’s one thing you take away from my website, let it be that I am at my happiest in the Nebraska Sandhills. There are other places I love as much, but not too many I enjoy visiting more.

This trip was a rain check, literally, after I drove out from a family visit in southwestern Minnesota about a few weeks prior and was rained out from astrophotography and much enjoyment of the few days I had.

This was different: blue skies, clear stars, warm, kind weather that made me want to stay for weeks. On my way in, I stopped to enjoy a quiet moment alone as golden hour covered the grasslands in soft light.
