For someone who has loved basically all forms of auto racing from birth, it's kind of surprising that I saw my first live top-tier racing around 30. But here we are, watching 2016 Indy Car Champion and 2019 Indianapolis 500 winner Simon Pagenaud turning a corner during qualifying for the Detroit Grand Prix. It's intoxicating.
